Born in Miami, Dr. Matthew (Matt) Snow has cultivated a remarkable career that bridges the worlds of tropical agriculture and clinical cardiology.

From a young age, Matt was captivated by plants, particularly orchids & built his first shade house at just thirteen.  Since 1992, Dr. Snow has operated as a commercial farmer in the Redlands, producing an array of tropical fruits – avocados, longan, jackfruit, mangos and  many other exotic fruits. Beyond Florida, he has an organic blueberry farm in North Carolina.

Dr. Snow is well regarded not only for his hands-on farming but also as an educator and advocate within the horticultural community. He has delivered numerous presentations on fruit culture, grafting techniques, orchid care, and strategies for cold protection—essential knowledge for growers navigating Florida’s occasional frosts. His authorship of several articles furthers the dissemination of best practices and innovative approaches in tropical fruit cultivation.
